Wow ... sort of glad we left on monday to go play golf. Just found out that the I-5 was closed this morning at 1 AM due to the fires at camp pendleton. apparently the fires extend all the way to the border patrol station on the I-5 (which is pretty far north for those who know where it is). I-5 is closed in both directions so I can't go down and pick up stuff anymore :(
trains are also stopped between the OC and SD county since I guess the fires have spread too far north and west in the camp pendleton area. wtf

CAMP PENDLETON FIRE UPDATE: The Horno Fire at Camp Pendleton has burned 6000 acres and is moving north and west between Las Pulgas Road and the Border Patrol Checkpoint. Camp Pendleton requested the closure of train service, and Metrolink has confirmed that service is shut down from Oceanside to San Clemente
bleh, stuck up here with only enough clothes for two days. guess its time to go shopping!!!
